Making of Page 13 (and deja-vu)

Several folks have expressed confusion about the story updates- wasn’t there more? Have I seen this already?

You’re not crazy, you may have seen this before.

Unlike earlier chapters, for chapter 4 I tried a new process.

First, I wrote out the script and posted up here for my readers to peruse. Next, I sketched out the whole chapter in rough pages, which got posted weekly like a regular comic update. Then, I started from the beginning editing and coloring the rough pages. To keep the archive in order, all the rough pages were removed once color updates started to appear.

The rough pages are now getting posted in these updates for comparison with the color pages as they are finished.

Short version: Chapter 4 was posted already as rough pages, then taken down, and now only color pages are in the archive.
Hope that explains things :)

Oh yes, and here’s the original rough for the latest update!
The village ended up getting a name in the color version.

Page 12 is quite similar to the original sketch. The main difference?
I forgot to draw Roza’s scarf-bow in the rough version.
