Journal, page 4 – Petra

Petra isn’t a major character, her name isn’t even mentioned, but there’s nothing worse when I’m trying to draw a page than getting hung up on random secondary characters. So, planning ahead saves strife in the long run.
Also, page is early! Just because. There’s a new Petra-related vote incentive as well.

   I’m impressed. Writers getting hung-up on random secondary characters is a pet-peeve of mine.

   Interesting to compare Rosa and Petra.
   Whereas Rosa is a nice looking, smart, well rounded young character; Petra is dog-gone cute. She appears to be several years younger than Rosa too.

   d’aw… she looks like she deserves more. but then i also get shades of that little snub nosed kid who popped up for like 15 seconds in Laputa but probably had a whole backstory drawn up :D

   getting better all the time though; by this point i’m starting to itch to see all this animated or something because you’re definitely in a winning stride ;) keep it up!

   Just voted for today. Love Petra in color! But then, I’m a sucker for red hair and freckles. :-)

   For some reason her design reminds me of Esten. (Perhaps it’s the nose?) ^^ The fact that she has red hair makes it even moreso. (And the way she does her hair is so Esten-esque as well.) But then, Roza herself reminds me alot of Utena Tenjou from Revolutionary Girl Utena.

   Can’t wait till the start of the next issue! I check back every Monday!

   Anthy- I’m a big Utena fan! It wasn’t intentional, but Roza gradually got Utena’s cheek-bangs, didn’t she?
   Can’t promise there won’t be fencing and/or crossdressing in the future, either…
