Wow, that’s clever – so they actually were repelling the mud, and it’s like physics or something! They push against mud, mud pushes against them =D
That’s one way to make progress.
And here I was just thinking that she somehow turned her blood into a rocket. XD

Just keep one thing in mind – if you don’t want this to seem like either a retcon or cop-out, you’ll have to bring this spell back in the near future. Possibly in a more humorous situation, or even into some running gag.
She did use it in Chapter 2, under more normal circumstances.
