I’m still working out the details of Roza’s outfit for the next chapter. This isn’t the final design for sure, but I did some quick coloring on it to see how it felt.

It looks wonderful! Thank you for letting us glimpse the next chapter.
She looks much more refined and elegant in comparison with the first chapters. I am not sure I like this kind of change in the character of Roza :( thought I certainly like the plot and am looking forward for the next chapter.

Maybe she is growing, becoming more feminine? Is it the intention of the author?
¿More feminine? I think that only if we assume that “tamed” and “feminine” are concepts going hand in hand. Roza has been charmingly feminine from the very start. Look at the first plate of the first chapter, see the way she makes a knot in her skirt; she is very, very feminine.
I have the impression that our beloved Kelly is enjoying very much her impressive artwork and craftsmanship, but in the meantime her characters are rather involutioning; Roza has gone from energetic and rebellious girl, daring to defy the highest power in that land and time, to a docile lady following the strong man who knows all the answers.
Look at the new prince Aryon’s image and compare it to his first apparition, in the first chapter, with very long hair and a piece of fur over the bare chest, he was a very strong character, a prince with such appearance! He was a appealing image full of mystery. Now he is very much weaker, he looks like Saint-Exupery’s Little Prince, and both he and Roza look anachronic in the supposed medieval scenario.
I think that Kelly is a good artist and I wish her to arrive safe to harbour :-)

We don’t even know if this is an intentional development or an erosion of the characters. I agree with you about Prince Aryon too.
The artwork is technically brilliant anyway, and the plot is fascinating.
Very good fruits have been born from the society of a good writer and a fine illustrator, like Jodorowsky with Gimenez, Manara and Moebius, to name a few, or Bilal with Dionnet and Christin. I should like to see Kelly in a “society” like that.

I decline to make any funny comments about tameness or femininity based off a concept drawing…
…but I do declare, this one and the others in this small seem to represent “taking a[n extra] level in artistic badassery”. The look of all these is so clean and lush, I love it :-)
Q: if you get chance to finish pt4 off in colour, will it be in this style, or will it match the rest of the chapter?
BTW her outfit does look rather Lt. Uhura, ST:TOS, but without the bare legs … is that intentional?
Roza is not tamed! Sure she doesn’t hike up an old skirt anymore, but she’s still the same adventurous, rebellious mage she has always been. If I remember right she just received a message from the fire that has so far been a complete mystery for her. She is still trying to figure out her curse and Esten does NOT know all the answers… he cant even figure out his own curse!
She’s soo cute. and awesome hair!!
