I first noticed it in the sketch when it came out a long time ago and I loved it the moment I saw it – I really liked the originality in Talvr’s design. Looking through your art galleries, it’s interesting the see the evolution of his design.

When I first saw the design of his snout, I realized it looked… familiar, but not anything I could easily place. It wasn’t like a horse’s muzzle, and certainly not like a deer or a goat’s. It was only some time later that I realized the design more closely resembled a gorilla’s face – such an incredibly original design to borrow for a more long-faced creature.

It was after that that I realized that the design of his front feet were very simian. And just now in trying to describe Talvr (who knows if other Lezni look different!) as similar to a goat, or a deer, or an antelope, or any kind of animal, I realize that there really is no one animal he can be compared to. He’s a wonderful amalgamation of different parts! Absolutely lovely. I wish I could see this creature in CG in some great fantasy movie.

My second favorite part of him is his tail. <3

…Oh my, long winded for a moment.

Remember, when using force to get your way, be sure to poison the well afterwards by implying the threat of even more of the thing that has pissed people off.
